A piano series for the community, honoring the legacy of Richard Goula (1943 - 2017). As a successful geologist and geophysicist, talented classical pianist, prolific painter, and accomplished botanist, Mr. Goula had a great appreciation for the botanical and cultural richness of South Louisiana. As such, he established the Thistlewood Foundation in Lafayette, to devote financial support and educational opportunities in the areas of music, fine arts, and botany. This piano series represents a small piece of Mr. Goula's grand and lasting legacy.
