Study: Memories of music cannot be lost to Alzheimer's and dementia

As an organization that celebrates the classics, we understand the impact that music can have on the mind, body, and soul. A new study reveals that the part of the brain that catalogs music cannot be lost in individuals with Alzheimer's or dementia. While the fight continues for a cure to #EndALZ, listening to familiar music can improve the quality of life for individuals with memory loss by providing temporary respite and joy! Our local assisted living facility, The Blake at Lafayette, provides tickets to our Concerts throughout the season to give their tenants the best experience possible. It is truly amazing just how far music reaches.
